Effect of various concentrations of calpain inhibitors, ALLN and PD150606, on glutamate-induced cell death in HT22 cells. HT22 cells were treated with 8 mM glutamate in the presence or absence of 1–50 μM ALLN (A) and 1–100 μM PD150606 (B). Cell death was assessed by measuring LDH release after 8 hrs of treatment *P < 0.05 compared to control; † P < 0.05 compared to glutamate alone.
