Supplements in DMEM were purchased from: fetal calf serum (FCS, PAN-Biotech, Aidenbach, Germany), all-trans-retinoic acid (RA, Sigma-Aldrich, Steinheim, Germany), recombinant brain-derived neurotrophic factor (rhBDNF; ImmunoTools, Friesoythe, Germany), human serum albumin (HSA, PAN Biotech, Aidenbach, Germany).
