Molecular interactions of hnRNP A2 in the A2 RNA trafficking pathway. Five different molecular partners of hnRNP A2 have been identified in the A2 RNA trafficking pathway – hnRNP A2 itself, transportin 1, A2RE RNA, TOG and hnRNP E1. Each step of the A2 RNA trafficking pathway is mediated by interaction of hnRNP A2 with a particular partner. Although interactions between hnRNP A2 and each partner are reversible, the overall pathway exhibits polarity.
