The effect of organ culture and in vitro pharmacology experiments on hematoxylin-eosin staining in human cerebral vessel sections. (A) Fresh, non-cultured vessel; (B) Vehicle-cultured vessel followed by in vitro pharmacology experiment. No morphological changes were observed in the smooth muscle cell layer after the organ culture and in vitro pharmacology experiments compared with the fresh vessel sections. Two compressed areas from the wires during the in vitro pharmacology experiments were observed (*). These areas were not used for evaluation or analysis. Data were obtained with light microscopy.
