Values of the control parameter at 1.4 and below correspond to periodic dynamics, and at 1.5 and above to chaotic dynamics. Evolution to a small-world network occurs under chaotic dynamics with moderate coupling. Values of clustering and closeness represent averages over 25 simulations of 500000 rewiring steps each.
