Four mice, two from each group, were removed from this test because their pre-training latencies did not meet criteria: that is they did not step down in the maximum 300 seconds allowed during training. (F) Conditioned Fear is expressed as a ratio of the latency to make 25 licks before (pre) and after (post) CS (tone) presentation subsequent to associative fear conditioning. One mouse was not included in the fear conditioning data because of an apparatus recording failure. Data are shown as mean values ± SEM; n values are indicated.
