Graph (C) shows the overall expression of active caspase-3+-cells of the N group (nā=ā12) and the H20, H60 and H120 group, (nā=ā7 in each group), in the ischemic hemisphere. There was no staining in the S and the Sā+āH group (nā=ā7 and 4 respectively, data not shown), and in the contralateral hemisphere of the other groups. Delaying hypothermia up to 60āminutes after the administration of Et-1, reduced the Et-1 induced apoptosis significantly. There was no binding of the second antibody in the absence of the primary antibody (data not shown). *Significantly different compared to the N group.
