Detection of ADAM10 and BACE1 in synaptic vesicle and postsynaptic density fractions of adult rat brain. Indicated amounts of total brain homogenate (H), synaptic vesicle (SV) (a) and postsynaptic density (PSD) (b) fractions were loaded on a gel and subjected to western blotting using ADAM10, BACE1, and synaptophysin (a) or PSD-95 (b) antibodies. The SV fractionation was performed four times (from different pools of 20 rat brains) and a representative image is shown. The PSD fractionation was only performed once (from a pool of 30 rat brains)
