From: Effect of acute noise trauma on the gene expression profile of the hippocampus
The experimental schedule of the present study. Three-week-old rats were divided into the control (n = 15) group or the noise group (n = 15). White noise was delivered for 3 days. The hippocampus was harvested from 12 rats (n = 6 rats per group) and gene expression was analyzed using a microarray. Pathway analyses were performed for the DE genes and qRT-PCR was conducted using samples from 18 rats (n = 9 rats per group)
