Protective effects of EPA on IL-1β triggered cell damage in cultured rat hippocampal neurons. Cell viability was determined by MTT assay. a Cells were pre-treated with the indicated concentrations (1–50 µM) of EPA for 40 min and then exposed to IL-1β (20 ng/mL) for another 48 h. b Cells were pretreated with KRX-0401 and EPA and then treated with IL-1β for 48 h.
