Autophosphorylation potential of a selection of TRKA protein isoforms. HEK293 cells were transfected with constructs encoding different putative TRKA isoforms. Untransfected cells were used as a negative control (neg). Isoforms were precipitated from lysates using rabbit antibody against V5-tag. a Equal amounts of immunoprecipitate were analyzed with SDS-PAGE and Western blot using mouse V5-antibody and mouse phosphotyrosine antibody. b Immunoblot signals from three independent experiments were quantified and the phosphorylated fractions of proteins were defined as pY/V5 ratios, which were log transformed, mean centered and autoscaled for statistical analysis. Results from Tukey–Kramer multiple comparisons test are compiled into a table. For graphic representation, data is expressed as a fold change relative to the pY/V5 ratio of TRKAII. Back-transformed mean values ± SEM bars are shown
