Pressure stimulation device. A right index fingertip was placed on a neonatal cuff (a) and was wrapped by the cuff (b front view, c side view) before MR scanning. The cuff was expanded by air insertion at the turn-on of the pump in a blood pressure monitor (not shown here) during MR scanning. In this way, a pressure stimulus of up to 58.6 kPa was applied to the whole ventral surface of the right index fingertip for 3, 9, or 15 s stimulation periods
