Costaining for nigrostriatal neuron-specific recombinant gene expression in rats sacrificed at 4 days after co-injection of pTHlac/gC – bdnf and pHSVpkcΔGG/gC – bdnf into the midbrain. Alternating sections were costained using either rabbit anti-β-gal and mouse anti-TH or mouse anti-flag (detects PkcΔGG) and rabbit anti-TH, and these antibodies were visualized using rhodamine- or fluorescein-conjugated secondary antibodies.
