The effects of chronic social defeat stress on the body weight gain and the food intake. (A) The body weight gain was calculated relative to the initial (baseline) body weight. Regarding the body weight gain, a two-way repeated measures ANOVA showed that the main effect for stress (P < 0.001) and the stress × time interaction (P < 0.001) were significant. (B) Total food intake during the dark phase. Regarding the food intake, a two-way repeated measures ANOVA showed that the main effect for stress (P < 0.05) and the stress × time interaction (P < 0.001) were significant.
