In vitro comparison of the abilities of MnTBAP and MP to remove H 2 O 2 (A) and O 2 • ─(B). The experimental groups were described in the Methods section and in Tables 1 and 2. The levels of H2O2 and O2• ─ were measured by HPLC or spectrophotometrically, as described in Figures 1 and 2. MnTBAP, but not MPSS, significantly reduced both H2O2 and O2• ─ levels.
