Confocal light microscopic images illustrating RIP3 immunolabeling relative to immunolabeling of glial cells in adult rat retina (PKCα). In the ganglion cell layer, RIP3 expressing somata appear to be tightly apposed to (or potentially co-localized with immunoreactivity for glutamine synthetase (GS) that visualizes Müller cells (B-D). A similar pattern is seen between RIP3 and GFAP (F-H) or RIP3 and CD11b (J-L) double immunofluorescence, these two glial markers are expressed in astrocyte and microglia in the retina.
