The brain mappings of the logistic regression between the diagnostic decision, d (dependent variable; wrong = 0, right = 1), and H ( e i ), which were calculated for each of the electrodes (independent variables). The normalized β i H ¯ e i values obtained for each electrode were color-coded such that yellow to dark-blue areas were associated with increasingly values of positive β i and pink to dark-red areas were associated with increasingly values of negative β i . The areas in white were not statically significant and the difference between the mappings in A (see Table 3) and B (see Table 4) is the use of expertise as a control variable in B.
