Figure 4 shows the means of the VAS at every time point before and after stimulation. Please note, that the after values are calculated by converting the changes of the NRS into the VAS using the formula VASt = VASbef+VASbef/4*NRSt in case of improvement (negative values of NRS) or VASt = VASbef+(10-VASbef)/3*NRSt in case of worsening of the symptom, for each time point (t) separately. * indicate significant difference compared to baseline Wilcoxon matched pairs test (significance level p < 0.05); Vertical bars denote SEM.
