Amplitude (upper panel) and latency (lower panel) of bilateral occipito-temporal current sinks (A.), bilateral temporal (B.) and midline parietal sources (C.) for face (black circle) and house (grey square) images are plotted against stimulus orientation. A. Occipito-temporal current sinks were measured over left and right occipito-temporal (P7/P8) scalp sites for face stimuli and over left and right parietal (P5/P6) scalp sites for houses. B. Temporal current sources were measured over left and right temporal scalp sites (T7/T8) for faces only. This current source activity pattern was absent in the SCD maps of houses. C.
